This is a free class for expecting moms and partners/support person.
Breastfeeding Basics focuses on protecting, promoting, and supporting breastfeeding by teaching moms how to establish a good milk supply from the start. Instructors will also provide information on how milk is produced and how to build and maintain milk supply – as these things are the best indicators for breastfeeding success.
We will also cover different pump options:
- How moms can obtain a pump through the hospital
- How to navigate online resources for additional pump options/styles
What to expect:
- Basics of breastfeeding
- Infant positioning
- Hunger cues
- Tips for successful breastfeeding
