WinnMed works to provide services you need, close to home. One such service is chemotherapy administration. Chemotherapy is the general term for any treatment involving the use of chemical agents to stop cancer cells from growing.
A chemotherapy treatment plan and schedule usually includes drugs to fight cancer plus drugs to help support completion of the cancer treatment.
Your oncologist will develop a treatment plan scientifically designed for you, based on your type of cancer, its stage of advancement, and your overall health.
Once you and your doctor have decided on a treatment plan, talk with your doctor about receiving your chemotherapy at WinnMed. WinnMed works closely with oncologists from Mayo Clinic and Mayo Clinic Health System. Registered nurses in our Surgery & Infusion Department are certified to administer chemotherapy by the Oncology Nursing Society and offer specialized, skilled, and compassionate care during your treatments.
